Competition format

Back to full competitions!

Members and visitors should note that Trentham Golf Club is now back to full competitions with grades, ball competition and nearest-the-pins. Starting times are still available all day on the timesheet, in groups of four. Covid-19 regulations (masks, social distancing etc.) are still in force.

For nearest the pins, there will be a sanitiser station at each nearest-the-pin box. Please make sure you use it after you have written your name on the card.

Just a reminder on grades: up to 28 players there is a single grade, 29-40 players Grades A and B, 41 or more players Grades A, B and C. There is a $25 voucher awarded to each grade winner, and balls to the top 25% of the field and NTP winners. Prizes will be available for collection at the next competition.

Payment will still be via competition credits, please make sure you are "financial". Everyone in the field will pay one credit to play (four credits for Access members).

Due to Covid-19 regulations, we regretfully are unable to accept players whose permanent place of residence is in a Stage 4 lockdown area of Melbourne.

Tee-times are unavailable to green fee players from 8.30am-12.30pm due to club competitions.

Club competitions

Visitors with Australian Golflink handicaps are welcome to play in our competitions. The cost is $20 including competition fee.

Tee-off times

Wednesday: Women tee off from 9.30am (8.30 from December to February)

Thursday: Mixed, all day to 2.00

Saturday: Men and women's competitions all day to 2.00

Please note the following conditions:

  • When the maximum predicted temperature for Melbourne is 40°C or greater, start times are limited to 7.30 to 9.00 am.
  • When a Code Red Fire Day is declared, the course will be closed.

Course conditions

18 October 2020

The course has had a lot of Spring rain but is holding up exceptionally well.

Fairways: Fairways are in excellent condition with an excellent grass cover. The preferred lies local rule has been removed.

Greens: Excellent.

Surrounds: Very good. A blue line has been painted some 10m out from each green. Carts MUST stay outside this line to protect turf. Do not drive carts onto slopes around greens or close to green edges.
