The club and course

Trentham's picturesque 18-hole golf course is 5277 metres, par 70 for men and 4925 metres, par 71 for women. The course has quality grass greens, all of them recently constructed. It is not hilly and very popular with social and veterans groups.

There is a 150m practice range next to the carpark with a practice chipping green and sand bunker, plus an excellent practice putting green near the clubhouse

Pull buggies are available for hire, and on weekends the club offers a range of golf equipment for sale from the a small golf shop.

Trentham holds regular introductory clinics for beginning golfers as well as more advanced skills clinics for members. These are conducted by PGA teaching professionals or Golf Victoria instructors. Keep an eye on this website for dates.

Green fee players are welcome to use the clubhouse when it is open (usually Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays).

The clubhouse has bar facilities, change rooms, meals and snacks available when open, and is heated and airconditioned. The clubhouse is available for functions, please see our Catering pages.

A covered outdoor area with free gas barbeques is available to all visitors.

Golf competitions and tournaments

The club offers regular competitions on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, as well as a number of tournaments and championships. The popular Annual Tournament is held in the last week of October.

Trentham uses the OneGolf system for competition entry and results. Use your member log-in to access OneGolf.

An active Social Club runs activities such as dinner nights, raffles, weekly members draw and hole-in-one insurance, as well as selling club apparel such as pullovers, windproofs, rain gear, golf towels, sunhats and caps.

Monday Muggers

The Monday Muggers is a group of club members that play social golf on most Mondays throughout the year at the club, followed by a barbeque. Players assemble at 9.00 am for a 9.30 am 'multi-tee' hit-off. Friends and visitors (including occasional golfers) are welcome.

Trentham Travellers

The Monday Muggers sometimes organise visits to other golf clubs, and they become known as the Trentham Travellers. They may organise day trips to nearby clubs, or 2-3 day trips to more distant locations e.g. the Murray River. The feature is good golf with friends and a welcoming social atmosphere. If you are interested in these visits, please contact Dick Ellis.
