Charity day raises $3300

Trentham Golf Club's 2020 Charity Day on Saturday March 14 raised $3300 in support of the Trentham "Cool Country" Men's Shed. A large field of 32 teams (128 players) from a number of clubs, along with a trading tables and raffles, contributed to the great result. Men's Shed representative Charles Sherlock was hugely appreciative of the money raised, and said it would be put to very good use completing the fit-out of the shed and purchasing equipment and tools.

Scratch winners on the day were Sean Harkin ( Maryborough), Ryan Casey (Midlands), Mark Shortall (Maryborough) and Joshua Lacey (Dunolly) with 59. Nett winners with 53.5 were Kirsty Thomassen (Woodend), Peter Faux (Gisborne), Peter Williams (Woodend) and Tony Gepp (Woodend). Nearest the pins were won by Helen Young (2), Judi Conlan (Royal Park), Ruth Duffy, Leo Shea (Bacchus Marsh West), Dennis Carter ( Ballarat), Allen McMillan (Latrobe) and Gary Tuppen (Buninyong)

Thanks to everyone for their phenomenal support.

The clubhouse was jam packed after the round

Members Simon Ovenden and John Hudson (Captain) had a busy time working through the results.

Women's Captain Helen Young did a great job on the trading table with goods donated by members.

Monday Muggers

The Monday Muggers is a group of club members that play social golf on most Mondays throughout the year at the club, followed by a barbeque. Players assemble at 9.00 am for a 9.30 am 'multi-tee' hit-off. Friends and visitors (including occasional golfers) are welcome.

Trentham Travellers

The Monday Muggers sometimes organise visits to other golf clubs, and they become known as the Trentham Travellers. They may organise day trips to nearby clubs, or 2-3 day trips to more distant locations e.g. the Murray River. The feature is good golf with friends and a welcoming social atmosphere. If you are interested in these visits, please contact Dick Ellis or Harold Moore.
