Charity day raises $3300
Trentham Golf Club's 2020 Charity Day on Saturday March 14 raised $3300 in support of the Trentham "Cool Country" Men's Shed. A large field of 32 teams (128 players) from a number of clubs, along with a trading tables and raffles, contributed to the great result. Men's Shed representative Charles Sherlock was hugely appreciative of the money raised, and said it would be put to very good use completing the fit-out of the shed and purchasing equipment and tools.
Scratch winners on the day were Sean Harkin ( Maryborough), Ryan Casey (Midlands), Mark Shortall (Maryborough) and Joshua Lacey (Dunolly) with 59. Nett winners with 53.5 were Kirsty Thomassen (Woodend), Peter Faux (Gisborne), Peter Williams (Woodend) and Tony Gepp (Woodend). Nearest the pins were won by Helen Young (2), Judi Conlan (Royal Park), Ruth Duffy, Leo Shea (Bacchus Marsh West), Dennis Carter ( Ballarat), Allen McMillan (Latrobe) and Gary Tuppen (Buninyong)
