Trentham and nearby Daylesford have a wide range of visitor attractions.

What to do

Local attractions include the historic Trentham township, the famous Trentham Falls, the Wombat State Forest and Lerderderg State Park.

The Daylesford Spa area boasts many fine natural features and scenic spots, such as Lake Daylesford, Mount Franklin and the Wombat State Forest.

Tourist highlights include the spa resort of Daylesford and Hepburn Springs, with spas and massages, forest walks, restaurants and cafes, artists and galleries, and the Daylesford Spa Country Railway. There's a wide variety of wines available in the district from the renowned Macedon Ranges wineries.

Trip Advisor's Trentham listing is a good resource for local restaurants and eateries in Trentham.

The Trentham clubhouse provides meals and light snacks on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

In the main street The Cosmopolitan Hotel showcases the finest local and regional produce, wine, craft beer and cider.

After a round of golf, why not stop off at the Redbeard Bakery down the alley off the main street of Trentham. Take away one of their sourdough organic loaves made in an authentic wood-fired scotch oven. Open Friday to Monday 8am to 5pm.

Chaplin's Barista Bar and Nosh, in Trentham's main street, is open Thursday to Monday from 9am to 4pm. Hearty winter menu, coffee, cakes and lunches.

The Plough Restaurant across the road has a bar, bistro and beer garden. Open Thursday to Sunday from 12 noon.

For sandwiches, light meals, pies, cakes and take-away, the Trentham Cafe and Crafts and the Trentham Bakery are both in the main street.

Counter meals are also available at the Pig and Whistle Hotel in East Trentham.

Daylesford and Hepburn Springs has a wide range of restaurants ranging from the exquisite Lake House to restaurant bars such as the award winning Convent Gallery, Mercato and Koukla. Other quality eateries include The Farmer's Arms Hotel and the Food Gallery. There's plenty of pubs to choose from in Daylesford.

Club competitions

Visitors with Australian Golflink handicaps are welcome to play in our competitions. The cost is half green fees ($15) plus a $5 competition fee.

Tee-off times

Wednesday: Women 9.15 assembly for 9.30 tee off

Thursday: Mixed 10.00-12.30

Saturday: Men and women's competitions 10.00-12.30

From December to March, early tee-off times from 7.30-8.30 are available on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Please note the following conditions:

  • When the maximum predicted temperature for Melbourne is 40°C or greater, start times are limited to 7.30 to 9.00 am.
  • When a Code Red Fire Day is declared, the course will be closed.
